RACHEL NOE
I was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. I pursued my college degree at Colorado Mesa University and continued my education in downtown Denver majoring in Fine Arts with an emphasis on Jewelry making and metal smithing. I still continue to follow this passion in my home studio, which I sell my one of a kind custom pieces on Instagram.
At 25 Years old, I enrolled in the Antoine Du Chez Hair Academy to become a licensed cosmetologist. After 22 years as a hair stylist in this amazing industry, I have been very blessed to have a thriving lucrative career. I was fortunate to start and run my own salon business two different times as well as worked with so many influential stylists.
I have traveled all over the country attending amazing hair shows and special hands-on education classes learning many different techniques with Oribe, Kerastase, Shu Uemura, Bumble and Bumble, Wella, Loreal, Paul Mitchell, and Toni and Guy, just to name a few. I am also certified in Babe tape-in extensions and Keratin Hair Smoothing. Whether working in my own salon studios or in other wonderful upscale high end salons, I have an unconditional gratitude and sense of fulfillment for all my amazing clients and co-workers. This career has been nothing short of sensational! I can honestly say I truly love what I do and what I’ve done!
After 45 years in Denver, Colorado, my husband and I decided we wanted to start a new chapter with our two boys, 12 and 9 years old. We moved to Tallahassee, Florida, in July of 2021. We absolutely love it here!
Not too long after coming to Tallahassee, I was summoned by family and friends to cut and color hair. I kept asking around about where to get my shears sharpened (a service that I paid for always on location), and the answer was always the same, there isn’t anyone that does that here. I knew exactly what Tallahassee has been missing, a shear sharpener and educator.
I got in contact with one of the owners of the first designer’s, manufacturers, and distribution companies in the world (the same company I bought my first set of quality shears from over 20 yrs ago), that also has trained people to properly sharpen hair cutting tools on their own hand built systems. They are one of the only companies in the world that still teaches this very unique trade.
The company is called Sensei Shear Systems. The company’s owners are two brothers that began their journey over 35 years ago and designed the first swivel, crane handle ergonomic scissors in the world. Sensei Shear Systems is based out of Pittsburgh, California, where I received my training and certification. Currently, there are 14 total Sensei shear sharpeners and dealers in the world, of which only two are women, including myself. But I am the very first hair stylist that is certified and trained as a Sensei educator, shear sharpener and dealer. I am 100% mobile to provide all of these services on location.
I am beyond excited for this amazing opportunity and I am thrilled to meet and educate my fellow hair stylists to feel the cutting edge of Sensei shears, because you deserve to be on point!
